Introducing my new blog
Or better late than never
And here we are, it's about time I did this. This is my personal blog, coded myself in Next.js and using Markdown to present the posts and not using the basic Wordpress plan and template. I will be forever thankful to Wordpress and what it allowed me to do. It allowed me to easily put my ideas out there and to experiment and practice writing blog posts which is an essentially invaluable experience. But it was always going to be a temporary setup. I'm a software developer, developing my own blog was always going to be necessary. The only issue is that it took me way longer than it really should have.
I have been using the Wordpress blog for nearly a year and a half now and I absolutely am proud of what I did there. Apart from a few blips, I was able to stay quite consistent in having a weekly upload and if there's anyone reading this who had read some of my previous blog I certainly hope you got something out of it.
This blog is a completely personal project. Previously there was a very heavy process on my own personal self-improvement. THat's not going to change and will continue to be a big part of what I write on here, but there is also going to be a big shift onto my personal coding projects and learning, as that is something I want to focus a lot more of my time on. I'm hoping that this blog will be an extra way to encourage me to work on this endeavour.
I will also continue to talk about my own hobbies, as I feel they can be something I enjoy writing about and break up the possible monotony of constantly talking about the same things, but also give me more to talk about and make it easier to come up with post ideas. It also encourages me to make progress with some of those hobbies.
Overall, I'm very excited for what I can create and share here, and I hope you'll stick around to see.
